Charles A. Jennings, MC, LPC

Charles A. Jennings earned a B.S. degree in psychology, with secondary studies in engineering, from Arizona State University in 1967. He was first employed as a counselor in 1966. Charles and his wife joined Campus Crusade for Christ, a missionary outreach group, in 1970 and served for nearly five years as stage assistants working with magician Andre’ Kole’s World of Illusion international stage show.  In that capacity, he observed how easily  we can be deceived and how  fervently  we  will  defend  a

deception as truth. As a result, he developed a passion for truth and is committed to exposing deception.

While serving with Campus Crusade for Christ, he received training each summer at the Institute of Biblical Studies. His missionary service was followed by a 15-year career in business and then eleven years with the Arizona Superior Court. While gaining legal and administrative experience in the civil, criminal, and divorce court system, he finished Master of Counseling degree requirements at the University of Phoenix.

His counseling and supervised training includes: Sunshine Acres Children’s Home, working with children whose parents were either incarcerated or otherwise unavailable; The Jane Wayland Child Guidance Center with emotionally unstable and ADHD children; The University of Phoenix, with single and married adults; Family Service Agency where, among other issues, he treated abused women; East Mesa Middle School with troubled pre-teens; Family Life Counseling where he specialized in couples therapy; and psychiatrist Marilyn Vache’ M.D., specializing in single and married adults..

All his training was with, and by, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and special education instructors. He is board certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors and licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (ABBH). The ABBH is charged with protecting the public by investigating reported ethical violations of counselors and disciplining when warranted.

His instructional style of therapy is based on the conviction that we are creatures of design. This approach assists clients in bringing their thinking and relationships into harmony with our design. The criteria used to determine our design are rooted in a biblical understanding of what constitutes love and healthy relationships.
